To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Chemin Neuf Community has chosen to celebrate the event in a special way in certain places where it is present. After Burkina Faso, it was in the West Indies, and more particularly in Martinique, that the community held this special event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was an opportunity to reflect with several voices (sociologist, historian, bishops, brothers and sisters of the community) on important questions such as cultural diversity, fraternity and welcoming our differences as a place of fruitfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this month’s film,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through conferences, testimonies and experiences of fraternity, we are led to recognise that by sharing and welcoming our cultural diversity, a path of fraternity opens the way to reconciliation and unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We invite you to experience a meeting that will accentuate the fraternal aspect, on the one hand by taking care to be convivial, by discovering or deepening our respective cultures, and on the other hand by hospitality in the prayer of the brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You are my friends\u00a0if you do what I command.\u00a0<\/sup>I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master\u2019s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.\u00a0You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you\u00a0so that you might go and bear fruit\u2014fruit that will last\u2014and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.\u00a0This is my command: Love each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
