This month Net For God takes you to Ghana to discover or rediscover the Global Christian Forum. Last April, the theme of the fourth edition of the Forum was ‘That the world may know’ John 17:23. As part of our year-long focus on finding Christ in the ‘small and hidden’, we want to share the Good News of this event with you. It represents an important step towards communion between our churches, as Pastor Lydia Neshangwe of the Presbyterian Church of South Africa put it at the Forum’s opening celebration: “The Global Christian Forum brings together the most unlikely groups of believers: Evangelicals and Reformed, Orthodox and Pentecostals, Roman Catholics and “mega-churches”, from North and South, persecuted communities and large cathedrals. In the end, God brings us together for a common purpose:that the world may come to know Jesus Christ through our witness and fellowship’. Through the different words in this month’s film, the joy and simplicity of meeting others is highlighted, as is the importance of daring to take that step into the unknown.
Presentation of the thread
The fourth edition of the Global Christian Forum took place in Ghana from 16 to 19 April 2024, with the theme ‘That the world may know’ John 17:23. 240 participants from some sixty countries representing various Christian denominations attended the event. Two events in particular marked this Forum: a youth gathering that preceded the main meeting and a day in the footsteps of slaves at Cape Coast Fort.

For this month, our proposal for sharing is based on this Forum methodology, starting from our experience with Christ and listening to each other in a fraternal way
