In the first two films of this series on the challenges of Islam, Christian de Chergé - a priest in a Cistercian community in the Algerian Atlas mountains, who was assassinated with six of his brothers 1996 - and then Brother Andrew, a Dutch evangelical preacher, raised some crucial theological questions about the meeting of faiths, a question which remains quite open, even today. To help us focus our thoughts, Father Étienne Vetö, a member of the Chemin Neuf Community, a philosophy teacher and doctor of theology, comments on some of the proposals put forward by the Second Vatican Council, regarding the theology of the meeting of faiths. Then, Father Étienne Renaud, former Superior General of the White Fathers, the Missionnaires d'Afrique, and a former Rector of PISAI (the Pontifical Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies) in Rome, shares with us his experience gained during 40 years living in Muslim countries.  Etienne has spent his life trying to be a bridge between religions.
