Movie synopsis

‘The mission that Jesus gives to the Church is to be compassionate,
to show every human being that he or she is loved by God’
This film takes us to the land of Jesus, to Israel-Palestine, with Jean Vanier1, the man who founded the Arche Community2 in 1964 and who travels the world to announce the message of the gospel. The purpose of this journey was, with Net for God, to make a series of fourteen films on the mystery of Christ as interpreted in the Gospel of Saint John. It is the culmination of many years of reflection, of study, of prayer and of community life at the Arche since its beginning. Through the writing of the beloved disciple, Jean Vanier invites us to deepen our knowledge of Jesus and thus of ourselves; he reveals to us the vision of God for the world, a profound spirituality which gives meaning to life, to death, to the evolution of humanity.
Net for God is showing you extracts of these 14 films this month; after several days of filming in Bethlehem, and in Galilee, on the banks of the Sea of Tiberias, Jean Vanier speaks in Jerusalem about the passion and resurrection of Christ according to the Gospel of Saint John.
